The Distance Learning degree program at Troy State University is an important and growing part of the mission of the university. A variety of different courses are offered, including six graduate degrees that may be completed online. Additionally, seven bachelor and three associate degree programs are offered completely online. Along with personalized attention from professors, the Troy State University Distance Learning degree program is supported by the Distance Learning Center at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama.
The Distance Learning Center provides direct support to Distance Learning students by creating, promoting, and evaluating Distance Learning degree programs. The Distance Learning Center provides centralized coordination and provides quality assurance oversight of all Distance Learning programs within the Troy State University System.
Distance Learning course offerings are web based delivered through the BlackBoard 6 Courseware management system. Students may complete course work on an anytime/anyplace basis worldwide. Additional Distance Learning courses at Troy State University are also provided using Internet, satellite, cable TV, and microwave delivery systems through Troy State University College, Troy State University Phenix City, Troy State University Dothan, and Troy State University Montgomery.
Troy State University is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
