The Master of Science in International Relations degree program is designed to offer the graduates of diversified undergraduate programs an opportunity to obtain proficiency in international relations. Topics include: foreign policy analysis, defense and security policy, comparative politics, regional and state specific studies, international economics, and specific instruments of international affairs such as international organizations and international law.

Prerequisite Requirements
Candidates for admission must have a baccalaureate degree in any subject area from a regionally accredited college or university. There are no prerequisite requirements.
Conditional admission may be granted under certain circumstances to applicants who cannot satisfy all unconditional admission requirements to a graduate program. See conditional admission requirements in the general regulations section of the Bulletin. All courses offer three semester hours credit.
A maximum of four courses (12 semester hours) taken at another regionally accredited institution, each with a "B" grade or better, can be applied toward the degree. These courses must be comparable in catalog description to TSU courses in an MSIR program and must be approved by the appropriate main campus dean/department chair.
